Deborah Roxanne Martin

July 26, 1962 — October 28, 2017

Deborah Roxanne Straughn Martin, born in Pensacola, Florida on July 26, 1962, entered into rest in the comfort of her home and in the presence of her family on Saturday, October 28, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at True North Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. The visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., followed by a service at 7 p.m. Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Hank, and her children: Lauren Greiner, Jared Greiner, Kendal Greiner, Abby Gilliam, and Caroline Martin; her mother, Carolyn Parker, her sister Cynthia Holmes, her aunt, Elizabeth Fulcher, cousins, and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Cecil Edward Straughn, her beloved step-father, Ervin Parker, and her grandmother, Josie Fulcher Edgin. A talented florist and interior designer, Roxanne designed floral arrangements with Fatman’s Florist, Georgia State Wholesale Florist, and Indigo Floral Studio as well as individual clients in the Augusta, Georgia area for over 30 years. Roxanne courageously battled pancreatic cancer for three-and-a-half years, and the family would like to thank the tireless efforts of Dr. Jeremy Wells and the nurses at University Hospital Medical Oncology Group and Aiken County Hospice for their support and constant care. Kind, generous, loving, and always smiling, Roxanne was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter who always put the needs of others before her own. Everyone that met her was impacted by her testimony of faith, her sense of community, and her involvement in her church. The family would like to request that charitable donations be made to McNeill Funeral Home.
