Dave, 70, left all of us for eternal rest on Friday, May 10th, 2013 in Augusta Georgia. Dave was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on August 23rd, 1942. There he graduated from Auburndale High School where he played the saxophone and clarinet for the school band. Dave then served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1965 and decided to make Las Vegas, Nevada his home. There he met his wife, Patricia A Yunger, and went on to work for Mission Linen Industries. He worked 26 years before retiring in 2003. In 2005, Dave then moved to Augusta Georgia to enjoy and bestow his witty and quirky personality to his two granddaughters.Dave was a member of 33 years in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local #14, an active member of Moose International, plus a member of The American Legion for both Post #8 in Las Vegas and Post #178 in Augusta Georgia. Dave also supported the Girl Scouts for many years with his daughter and then became a huge supporter of dance with his granddaughters. He had a love for animals and was quite the social butterfly. Music and sports (Green Bay Cheesehead) were his passion. Gardening was his soul; his garden was a certified wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. Dave Yunger was so many wonderful roles to all our lives and will be extremely missed. Dave is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia A. Yunger, daughter Sally Marie Forner and her husband, Peter J. Forner Jr., granddaughters, Jasmine and Alexis Forner, sister, Louise Andrewski, brother, Stephen Yunger, seven nephews and one niece. Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Wencil and Barbara Marie Yunger, sister Frances Craik, brother Thomas Yunger, brother Ernest Yunger, and nephew Donald Andrewski. Services will be held at 2pm, Friday July 26th at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Memorial tribute will follow at the American Legion Post #8.
