David Wayne Rushton

Mr. David Wayne Rushton, 60, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. David was born in Augusta on August 4, 1959. He was son to the late Kellogg Rushton and Bobbye Rushton. David was a long-time employee of “The Cup”, before he fought the long fight home. Survivors include his daughters: Amy Rushton Dickerson, son-in-law Kyle Dickerson, of Elberton, GA and Erin Rushton Brady, son-in-law Connor Brady, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Noah Brady, Elliott Brady, and Ava Brady; sisters: Martha Fischmeister and Lyndia Calkins; niece: Jordan Calkins; great-nephew: Jaxson Calkins; and a lifetime of good friends. Funeral services to celebrate David’s life will be held in the chapel of Grace United Methodist Church, North Augusta, SC. The service will be held on September 9, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Thomas B. Wilkes III will be officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm in the chapel.
