David Hunter

Biography Augusta- David Bryan Hunter passed away peacefully after a long illness at Trinity Hospital in Augusta, Georgia on November 1, 2013. David was born on July 24, 1952 in Nashville, TN and grew up in Louisville, KY. David had been a resident of Augusta for more than 20 years. He was a lifelong learner and loved books on all topics. He acquired a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky and studied for a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Texas. David worked in journalism and advertising before moving to Augusta. David loved sports and particularly baseball and his treasured Atlanta Braves. Baseball's season is often described that it starts in early spring when the air is new and fresh and ends just as the leaves turn and there is a nip in the air leaving us yearning for spring again. Just like baseball's season we are left yearning for another spring season with our son, brother and friend but knowing that he is in a better place. He is preceded in death by his mother Lois Wade Hunter. David is survived by his father, Harold Hunter, sister Dana Hunter, aunt Katherine (Kitty) Baker, cousin Nicole Baker, best friend Chris Thomas, goddaughter Katherine (Katie) Baker, uncle and aunt Bobby and Billie Hunter, cousins and spouses, Bobby and Cindy Hunter, Ben and Lisa Hunter, Beverly and Keith Taylor and their children. His ashes will be laid to rest at Marco Island Cemetery on Marco Island, Florida next to his mother.
