Dave Young

Dave Young, 80, of Hephzibah, entered into rest on Monday, October 1, 2018 University Hospital of Augusta. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 12, 2018 in the Chapel of The Poteet Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of Augusta, he was Retired Civil Service from Fort Gordon. Dave was a good friend of Bill W. for 34 years and a dedicated member of the New Beginning Group. His loves were fishing, carpentry work, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Connie; sons, David and Booker; sister, Mary Martin; grandchildren, Dana (Will) Miller, Layla (Spencer) Cooper, Briannon (Bobby) Camanini, Peyton Young. Several great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Hazel Young. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10:00 until service time at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia.
