Biography Mr. Darrell Dean Jeffcoat Custom Home Builder Evans, Ga. entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father surrounded by his family on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at University Hospital. Mr. Darrell Dean Jeffcoat, 53. Husband of Mrs. Laura Maher Jeffcoat. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Darrell spent most of his life in Augusta. His passion was custom home design where he made dreams come true for over 30 years. His attention to detail was evident in every home he built. Darrell had a passion for serving others as evidenced in his many mission trips where he used his God given skills to build churches and homes. He served both locally and abroad including Russia, Brazil, and Africa. For many years, he was an active member at Martinez Baptist Church and the West Acres Baptist Church where he started the children's church ministries. Most recently, he was serving as core leader at Journey Community Church where he led the renovation of current facilities. Throughout his life, Darrell enjoyed time with his friends and family. A couple of his favorite things to do were attending family gatherings and spending time at his favorite beach with the love of his life. He will be remembered best in his favorite Georgia Bulldog shirt. He was a loving family man who will be greatly missed by his family. Additional survivors include, two sons, Phillip Jeffcoat, Atlanta, Ga., Jacob Jeffcoat,Evans, Ga.One daughter, Sarah Jeffcoat, Grovetown, Ga. Mother, Willette Poole Jeffcoat, Augusta, Ga. Three brothers, Ronnie Jeffcoat (Susan) Evans, Ga., Andy Jeffcoat (Connie) and Steve Jeffcoat (Terri), Augusta, Ga. Two step sons, Billy Andrews (Kristy) Warner Robbins, Ga. Ryan Moody (Christie) Evans, Ga. One step daughter, Shannon Spears (John), Grovetown, Ga.Three grandchildren.Preceded in death is his father Roy L. Jeffcoat. Celebration of his life is scheduled Friday at 3:00 pm at Journey Community Church Rev. Bobby Smith and Rev. Larry C. Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till time of service.
