Mr. Darrell C. Beam Mr. Darrell C. Beam of Hephzibah, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the VA Hospital.He was 87 years old. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road.The graveside service will be conducted on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Beam was a veteran of the U. S. Army.Prior to his retirement he was a supervisor for Republic Steele.Mr. Beam enjoyed being a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Beam is survived by his daughter, Donna Swanigan of Hephzibah: his sons, James Beam of New York, and Darrell Beam of Arizona; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Beatrice W.
