Daniel Lyle Freeman

Daniel Lyle Freeman, 57, of Augusta entered into rest on Sunday June 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Poteet Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Holford officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Members of the Georgia Department of Transportation will serve as escorts and pallbearers. Born in Albany, New York, Mr. Freeman entered into the United States Army after High School and served for 14 years. Following his service, he went to work for the Georgia Department of Transportation and spent 17 years as a Motor Carrier Compliance Officer. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church of Augusta. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Freeman of Augusta; Sons, Daniel L. Freeman (Felicia) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and William Frost of Hephzibah; grandchildren, Andrew James Lucas, Daniel Lawrence Freeman, Jr. and Katie Lynn Freeman; brother, Timothy Freeman, and a sister, Wanda Watkins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia.
