Dale W. Bell Retired Military In loving memory of Dale Wayne Bell, 65 of Hephzibah, Georgia, a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Bell was called home on December 5, 2015 from the Charlie Norwood Veteran’s Administration Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted from The Poteet Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1 pm with Pastor David Hixon officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Veteran’s Honors. Mr. Bell was a native of Salinas, California having made the CSRA his home for the past 36 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, being assigned once again to care for his Marine brothers in arms. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Mrs. Jean Corbit Bell of the residence; son David Bell, also of the residence; daughter Mrs. Tina Bell Burke and her husband Gene, Beech Island, South Carolina; a grandson, William Bell, Grovetown, Georgia; mother in law whom he called mom, Iris Merin, Hephzibah, Georgia; special cousins that were more like brothers and sisters, Mrs. Patricia Neville, Gallup, New Mexico, Norma J. Harden, Grants Pass, Oregon and Grover Lucas, Jr., Brownsville, Kentucky as well as numerous other cousins throughout the United States. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Elizabeth, age 3; mother Wanda Pollock Ferry of Salinas, California; dad Edward Ferry of Portland, Oregon and a brother Jim Fulton of Clarksville, Tennessee. Serving as Pallbearers for Mr. Bell will be Bobby Burke, Chris Turner, Kozzi Flesner, Marvin Haynes, David Hixon, Jr., and J. Nathan Gerard. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road. Poteet Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
