Curtis Anthony Reed, Sr.

Curtis Reed Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Augusta University Hospital in Augusta, GA at the age of 50. He was born on December 30, 1969 in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Samuel J. Tilden High School and studied at Brooklyn College. After moving to Augusta, GA he married the love of his life in 2014, and began pursuing his dream of becoming a Chef. He had a love for food and enjoyed preparing meals for his family. Curtis was a jokester, constantly making people laugh and loved to sing and dance to old school R&B. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Bowie Reed; his mother, Bessie Reed; his son, Curtis Reed Jr.; his stepdaughters, Shequanna and Shequita Bowie; his stepson, Marcus Bowie; his sister, Felicia Reed; his brother, Roscoe Reed Jr; his aunt, Patricia Best; his nieces Nekia, Lakeisha and Junisha Reed; his step grandchildren, Heaven Bowie, Josiah Bowie, Elias Cromwell, J’Corey Martin, Jamya Bowie, King McCree; and a great granddaughter, Taliyah Lee. A special thank you to his best friends, Lester “Stutter” Batties and Lawrence Smiley; his brother-n-law, Andre Creswell and his wife Tishon for always being there for him; and his dogs Chino, Princess, JoJo, China and JJ who loved him dearly.
