Curtis A. Jackson, beloved husband of Faith Kelly Jackson, entered into rest on December 5, 2009. Mr. Jackson lived his life in Georgia, as owner and operator of Spirit Enterprises. Mr. Jackson was extremely proud of the 310 Bi-Lo, Winn Dixies, and shopping centers he built in the Tri-State Area. Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Jackson; his brother, Joseph “Joe” Jackson; his step-father, Mr. Loomis; and his mother, Pauline Bryant.He is survived by his loving wife, six children, Wayne Jackson and Brenda (Carroll) Perkins of Savannah, Georgia; Jennifer Jackson, Penelope Jackson, and Andrew (Brooke) Jackson of Metter, Georgia, and Brandon (Krystal) Jackson of Augusta; two step-children, James “Jay” Kelly of Hephzibah, and Angela (Rusty) Seymour of Harlem, Georgia; six grandchildren, Rachel New, April Jackson, Tiffany Perkins, Nicole Perkins, Brittany Bradford, and Jerome Jackson,; four great- grandchildren and one honorary daughter, Amy Cousart. Pallbearers will be Rusty Seymour, Carl Dennis, Jody Kelley, and Nathan Kelly. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Chaplain Frankie May will officiate. Committal services willfollow at Westover Memorial Park.
