Clinton E. Plumlee

Clinton Eugene Plumlee passed away at his home on Monday, June 8, 2020. He was 60. Clinton was born in Spokane, Washington on September 27, 1959, to parents Lee and Coralie. He grew up with siblings Cynthia, Karen, and James. A younger sister, Rosemary, passed away at a young age, but was always remembered with love. He graduated from Rogers High School where he ran for the track team, mostly long-distance. He earned degrees in History and French while attending Spokane Falls Community College and Eastern Washington University. He joined the Army in 1982, retiring as a 1st Lieutenant in 1998. He earned his nursing degree at Columbus State University in 1995. He married Mitzi Kate Waterman in San Francisco on December 7, 1987. They had sons Marcus (age 28), Aden (25), and Pax (14). After California, they were stationed in Colorado, Germany, Columbus (Georgia), and eventually moved to Augusta in 1995. He worked at many health facilities in and around Augusta, most often for behavioral health and rehabilitation centers. His quick wit and good humor made him a favorite among his colleagues and patients. Clinton had a love for reading and writing, creating stories he read aloud to his sons and their classmates in elementary school. He enjoyed the company of his family, his colleagues and friends, his pets, but above all his sons—who he loved most of all. He is survived by his wife, sons, siblings, nieces, nephews, grandnieces & nephews, extended family, colleagues, and friends. There will be a memorial atSacred Heart Cultural CenteronAugust 2nd, 2020.A service with eulogies and musicwill start at 10AM. After that, drop-in visits will be welcome from noon until 3PM. Dress is casual, much like Clinton was. Due to COVID, there may be certain regulations the venue will require for entry. In lieu of flowers, Clinton’s family asks that donations be made to any worthy mental health/addiction center or charity.
