Clifford Arnold Cooke Sr., 87, of North Augusta, fell asleep in death on October 18, 2023. He was born May 18, 1936, to the late William Leander and Helen Sheaff Cooke. He married the love of his life, his “Debbie Girl”, on December 1, 1984. Together they were faithful witnesses for Jehovah God in the Riverview Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in North Augusta, South Carolina. Even with failing health, their loyalty to Jehovah and each other never waivered. Their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them. They enjoyed sharing in the ministry together and exploring the mountains hiking to waterfalls. Clifford is survived by his five children: Cliff Cooke Jr., Kelli Cooke Simonetti, Angela Widener Lewis, Bradford Allen Widener (Tammy) and Julie Cooke Alston (Ronald); 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Deborah Watts Cooke, and his siblings: Eula Mae Cooke Kerezsi, Elliott Cooke, Donald Neal Cooke Sr., Beverly Cooke Piper and Ralph Cooke. A Memorial service will be held at 1 O’Clock on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 4063 Jefferson Davis Highway, Warrenville, South Carolina.
