Cheryl W. Lynn

Mrs. Cheryl Lynn entered into rest May 27, 2017 at her residence after a long and courageously fought illness. Cheryl was born in Killeen, Texas and was raised mostly in Columbia, SC. A nurse for over 27 years, she retired from MCG. She companioned her Naval Officer husband thoughout his career. She lived and worked in South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Maine, Washington State, California, and overseas in Spain. She will be remembered as an especially caring soul, her prowess at trivia and crossword puzzles, and as a great cook. As a nurse, she helped bring into the world and cared for thousands of new infants. In the final ledger of life, she will, as her compatriots have been, and will be, judged by the maker- as extraordinarily rich. She is survived by her husband Michael, son Brendan, daughter in law Stephanie, all of Grovetown; and Danielle Cassingham daughter-at-heart, of Evans, brother Leon Waddell and step mother both of Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Waddell, her father J.L. Waddell was recently deceased. A local private celebration of life will be held at a later date. She will be interred at Fort Jackson National Veterans Cemetery in Columbia, SC.
