Mrs. Charlotte Meeks Meredith, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.She was 90 years old. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.Pastor Robert Driggers and Minister Scott Patterson will officiate. Mrs. Meredith is survived by her daughter, Beverly Meredith Weathers, and her husband, Ben, of Evans; her son, Mark Meredith, of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Nathan Weathers, Annie Turner, Casie Baysinger, Candice Meredith, and Natalie Weathers; her great grandchildren, Dagan Weathers, Taylor Weathers, and Bailey Lewis; her sister-in-law, Margie Meeks; and brother-in-law, Weldon Rice.She was preceded in death by her husband of more than forty one years, Edward M. Meredith, on January 4, 1989. Mrs. Meredith was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church and the Ladies Bible Class.She retired after 40 years with civil service at Fort Gordon. She loved showing and riding Walking Horses. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening and growing flowers.
