Charles William Stewart, Sr.

Charles William Stewart, 62, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2019, husband of Angie Mercado Stewart. Mr. Stewart a native of Stuttgart, Germany has lived in the Augusta area for the past 50 years. He worked at JC Penney’s and got his Ministry degree at Brean University. He was a member of The Assemble at Augusta Church. Additional survivors include his sons, John W. Stewart; Charles W. Stewart, Jr., (Amanda); father, Colonial Douglas Stewart; grandchildren, Cayden and Colton. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Marie Underwood Stewart. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at The Assemble at Augusta Church at 3:00 pm with pastor Brandon Lanier officiating.
