A Rosary will be conducted Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road. The Mass will be conducted Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road. Mr. Charles P. Sganga Sr. is survived by his sons Charles P. Sganga Jr., Michael A. Sganga Sr. and his wife Connie, Louis V. Sganga and his wife Nancy all of Augusta; Daughters Maria D. Powell and her husband Daniel, of Hephzibah, Giovanna Columbia and her husband Mark, of Kentucky; brothers Louis Sganga of Oceanside California, Norman Sganga of Howard Beach, New York; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Sganga is preceded in death by his beloved wife Maria V. Sganga of 42 years and his parents Albino Sganga and Lena Silverstien. Mr. Charles P. Sganga enjoyed his Catholic faith as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the time he spent in the Knights of Columbus; He was a proud husband and father.
