Charles "Chuck" Roberts

Charles R. “Chuck” Roberts, age 60, of Augusta, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, April 14, 2013, at University Hospital.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Frank and Ellen Jeanette Walker Roberts.Chuck was employed at Atlas Industrial as an Applications Engineer.He always had a smile on his face and he never met a stranger and loved to tell a good joke.His life and love revolved around his wife, his children and his grandchildren.Chuck will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Debra (Anderson); His children, April (Dennis) Chavous of Augusta, GA., Rick (Ashley) Roberts, Jr., and Rachel (Mike) Wilson of Augusta, GA.; 7 grandchildren, Miriam, Mercy, Melanie, Joey, Ava, Chaz, Layla; brothers and sisters, Ronnie (Sheila) Roberts of Newport News, VI., Randy (Beverly) Roberts of Hephzibah, GA., Janet (Calvin) Hobbs of Augusta, GA., and Anita Smith of Scituate, MA. Also survived by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Family will receive friends Tuesday (TODAY) 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, 30906, 706.798.8886.Services will be Wednesday 12 Noon at the funeral home with Bishop Phillip Napier, officiating. Burial to follow in Westview Cemetery with Military Honors by Ft. Gordon Military Detail. Pallbearers will be Jack Kneece, Michael Morrison, Clint Morrison, Jason Eidson, Hal Perdue and Wesley Mitchum. Memorials may be made in Chuck’s honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
