Biography Mr. Charles Lewis (Toby) Ray Charles entered into rest March 12, 2013 in Evans, GA where he was currently residing. Survived by his loving wife Mary Delores Ray. Mr. Ray was born in Roxana, Illinois.He graduated from Collinsville Township High School and received his Industrial Engineering Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He honorably served in the US Army from March 1946 to November 1949. While on Active duty, Sergeant Ray served in Japan as a Paratrooper with 11th. Airborne Div. He was an active member of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi, Scottish Rite, Knights Tempar and AL CHYMIA Shrine in Memphis, TN. He was retired Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, Emerson Electric. Survived by daughter, Sandra Ray, son-in-law George Ingram of Humble, TX. son Dr. Curt Ray, daughter-in-law Dr. Melissa Ray of Modoc, SC and two Grandchildren, Jared and Carly Ray and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Percy Ray & Eva "Adel" Ray and Brothers John Ray, Harold Ray and James Ray.
