Charles Vernon Hutto Charles V. (CV) Hutto, 65 and Life long resident of Augusta Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning July 3, 2016 after an extended illness at Trinity Hospital in Augusta Georgia. Memorial services will be held Friday July 15th 2016 at 7 p.m. Family and friends visitation and gathering from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Poteet Funeral Home on Peach Orchard Road Augusta Georgia. CV was the son of the late James Paul Vernon Hutto and the late Peggy Harris Hutto. He was born at University Hospital in Augusta Georgia 11/08/1950. CV grew up in Augusta Georgia. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. CV also served in various branches of law enforcement for greater than 28 years. He was very active in the Marine Corps League. CV volunteered at the VA hospital and took special interest helping raise money for Toys for Tots. He also enjoyed working with Eddie and Patsy Skinner feeding and providing clothing and other necessities for the homeless in the community. Prior to illness CV was an active member of Southside Baptist Church, with past memberships at Grove Baptist Church and Mark's Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his personal savior. Charles loved playing golf and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Preceded in death by his brother David Hutto. Survivors include his wife Harriet Bell Hutto; Daughters Brandi Bostick and husband Rick Bostick, Jessica Brown Welch and husband Dale Welch, Charley Hutto Wheelis and husband Brandon Wheelis; Brother Bryan Hutto and wife Cheryl Hutto; Sister-in-law Denise Bell Hosey and husband Danny Hosey; Brother-in-law Harvey Bell Jr. and wife Rhonda Bell, Gary Bell and wife Karen Bell; Grandchildren Mykala Lane Hutto-Bond, Tucker Grayson Bostick, Summer Lee Hoage, Erika Rayen Duncan, Emma Rhiley Duncan, Mila Summer Wheelis; Nieces and Nephews Matthew Hutto,Hannah Hutto, Christopher Young, Kristen Young Neal, David Hutto Jr., Amen Hutto, Monica Hutto, Daniel Bell, Lindsey Bell Straughn, Cheyenne Bell Lacey, Gage Bell.
