Life Legacy Charles R. Hand Retired Fireman Grovetown, Ga. entered into rest August 1, 2011 at University Hospital Mr. Charles Robert Hand, 75, Husband of Dixie V. Hand of 56 years. Mr. Hand was retired Captain at Augusta Fire Department Born Oct. 22, 1935 in Macon Georgia, live in the Harrisburg section in Augusta.And a member of The Sanctuary. Additional survivors include three sons, Jeff Hand (Pam) MS, Greg Hand (Penny), Avera, Ga., David Hand (Linda) Augusta, Ga. Daughter, Dana Boyd (Eddie) Edgefield, SC 13 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be conducted at The Sanctuary 302 Byrd Rd. Evans, Ga. on Thursday evening at 6:00 pm. Rev. Bryan Cockrell officiating.A private burial will take place at Westview Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00-6:00 pm.
