The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Homes, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.Committal services will follow at Hephzibah-Vance Memorial Park. Charlie is survived by his daughters, Casey Byrd, Tiffany Martin, and Chelsea Flynn, all of Augusta; his parents, Charles Royal Flynn Sr., and Velta A. Swanson Flynn, of Augusta; his sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Joe Kowalewski, ofFt. Oglethorpe, Georgia; grandchildren, Christian Byrd and Jaycee Kingsley; a niece and nephew, Ashton and Zane Kowalewski; several aunts and uncles. Charlie attended Hephzibah High School and was a member of the Ft. Gordon Soccer League.
