Charles E. Claxton

Mr. Charles E. Claxton, 67, Evans, GA died peacefully at home Saturday, September 21, 2019, after an extended illness. He was a native of Vidalia GA and lived most of his adult life in Richmond and Columbia counties. He was owner and President of Advanced Insurance Services in Augusta and surrounding areas. He was a dedicated member of Whole Life Ministries Church in Augusta GA. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Gail (Edge), his cherished daughter Courtney and loving mother, Mrs. Bonnie Claxton (Hooks), Vidalia. Brothers John (Tina); H. Stan; sister Patricia Kight (Alvie) all of Vidalia and sister Cecelia Dykes (John) of Gainesville GA. Nephews: Eric (Cathy) and Jason (Amy) Dykes; Jordan (Natalie) and Morgan (Macy) Kight; Joshua and Ryan Claxton; Justin and Colton Claxton. Nieces: Lauren Kight, McKenzie Claxton and Kaitlyn Claxton. Uncles: Jerry Hooks, Delbert Palacz and Aunt: Kay (Hooks) Pryor. He also leaves numerous cousins, great nephews and nieces as well as his dedicated staff: Cindy, Amanda, Kim, Gaby, Vanessa, Savannah. He also leaves behind his special grands who brought so much love and joy into his life: Hadassah, Boaz, Naomi, Giselle and Gabriella Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher, father Stanley E. ; maternal grandparents Herbert and Minnie (Kight) Hooks and paternal grandmother, Eula (Braddy) Claxton. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday 9/25/19 at 12NOON in the Whole Life Ministries Chapel in Augusta GA. Family and Friends Home-going celebration/visitation of Charles' life will be held following the service. For family and friends who are unable to attend, we ask you to remember us in your prayers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Whole Life Ministries in Charles' memory in order to further the Gospel and to continue planting seeds in order to grow the Kingdom of God.
