Charles Anthony (Tony) Benton

Charles Anthony Benton, 68, entered into rest August 24, 2019 at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, husband of Sheila Williams Benton. Tonya native of Barnesville, Georgia, lived the past 35 years in the Augusta area, he was retired Contractor for Superior Installation. He served in the US Army. A member of the VFW. Additional survivors include his stepsons, Daniel T. Williams, Jr. (Heather); Tyler William Alexander;stepdaughters, Meriya Williams (Nick), Stephanie Hill (Robbie); brothers, William Benton (Lillie); Donnie Benton; Twelve grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harding & Martha Benton; brother, JB Benton. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 4:00 pm at McNeill Funeral Home, with Military Honors. The family will receive friends starting at 2:00 until time of service.
