Cecil Ray Vintson, Sr., age 71 of Evans, Georgia passed away on June 7, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. Born on October 27, 1946, in Dora, Alabama, he was the son of the late Cecil E. and Flora Vintson. Ray worked in produce all of his life and was an avid gardener. His hobbies included playing guitar and scrapping metal. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by twin sister, Kay Matlock, and brother, Paul (Larry) Vintson. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Vintson, from Middlesboro, KY. Children: David (Jenny) Vintson, Chris (Laura) Vintson, Ray Jr (Anna) Vintson, Mary (Hector) Vargas, and Daniel (Alannah) Vintson, as well as 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Gene (Phyllis) Vintson, and Bob Thomas(Kaye) Vintson. The immediate family will be having a private ceremony per the wishes of the deceased. Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetary in Grovetown, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
