Carolyn Veronica Henderson

Mrs. Carolyn V. Henderson of Martinez passed away at Eisenhower Army Medical Center on Thursday, August 25, 2011. She was 57 years old.Carolyn was born to the late James and Georgia McKnight in Hemingway, SC. Sheattended Morris College and later received a Bachelor of Science from Brenau University.Mrs. Henderson worked, for 28 years, as a Logistics Clerk for the Civil Service, Fort Gordon, Georgia. She was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.Mrs. Henderson was also a member of The Total Woman of Augusta where she served as Chaplin. She is survived by her husband, Edward O. Henderson, and children Edward O. Henderson Jr. (Muriel), Arthur Henderson (Suzanne), Ashlie Henderson. Deceased children Barry Henderson and Kathy Henderson-Bussey. Mrs. Henderson is also survived by three siblings, Margaret Barnes, Atlanta, GA, Sue Ann Coppin (Carlisle) Laurelton, NY and Harry J. McKnight (Marsha) Atlanta,GA. She was preceded in death by siblings, Herbert McKnight, Barbara M. Johnson, Mildred Pressley, Katie John and Dianne Abney. She leaves to cherish her memory ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and manyother relatives.
