Carolyn R Burns

Mrs. Carolyn R. Burns, 74, of Augusta, GA, entered into rest peacefully on Monday, June 27th, 2016 at her residence with family present.A memorial service will be held Saturday July 2ndat Asbury United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm; Reverends Allan Smith, Randall Cowart, and Pete Strahls will officiate.Preceding the service, from 1:45 - 2:45 in the fellowship hall, will be a time for visitation. Mrs. Burns, a native of Lynn, Massachusetts, has lived in Augusta, GA for over 60 years.She was a retired employee of TTX Company in North Augusta, SC.She was an active member of Asbury UMC. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Burns; sons, Elliott Mumper (Melissa Hedden), Raymond Burns (Mel), and Rodney Burns (Thim); a niece, Dawn Foos (Ryan); a nephew, Duane Anderson; three great nephews; two great nieces; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Myra Remley; sister, Gail Norman, and son James A.
