Caroline Maria Dorrance

Caroline Maria Dorrance, age 54, died at Eisenhower Army Medical Center on January 6th, 2020 due to an unexpected cause. Caroline was born on February 16th, 1965 in Wilmington Delaware and was adopted to parents Helen and Carl Dorrance.She attended and graduated from A.I. Dupont High School where she was an avid track runner and cheerleader. Caroline will be especially remembered for the overwhelming care of others, dedication to raising her children, loving her grandchildren, and putting a smile on all faces that she came in contact with. Caroline lived her life by simply devoting many aspects of it to others. Ms. Dorrance is survived by her daughter and son in-law Tracy and Tracy Underwood of Fort Gordon, GA; sons, Shawn and Shane Dougherty; daughter, Jennifer Harris; her brother and sister-in-law Carl (Ross) and Cindy Dorrance; Husband, James D. Shrewsbury; and three grandchildren, Elijah, Braxton, and Cameron Underwood.She is preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth. Caroline was a shining star with a contagious smile and heart of gold. She will continue to leave her legacy behind through all who she came in contact with. Ms. Dorrance will be cremated per her request. A memorial service will take place on January 18th at 1:00 pm atMcNeill Funeral home addressed as follows: 109 Shaw St., Martinez, GA 30907. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Caroline’s life.
