Carol Jean Stanley, 59, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia. Born on February 24, 1965, in Augusta, Carol Jean attended One Way Christian School and later pursued studies at Stratford Career Center. She was a woman of deep faith and unwavering kindness, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her generosity and compassion touched many lives, as she never hesitated to offer a kind word or thoughtful gesture. Whether calling to wish someone a happy birthday or checking in during difficult times, Carol Jean had a way of making those around her feel loved and supported. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—doing crossword puzzles, watching movies, and cherishing time spent with family and friends. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to those who knew her, and her steadfast devotion to her loved ones was evident in everything she did. Carol Jean is survived by her brother, Robert Anthony Stanley; her nephew, Evan Robert Stanley; former sister-in-law, Michelle Stanley; and a dear family friend, Tara Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lou McCoy Stanley and Robert Carroll Stanley. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
