Carlton Mccall, Jr.

Carlton McCall Jr. 78 passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta Georgia. He was born on November 9, 1945, in Colquitt, Georgia, to Waver Cross Palmer and Carlton McCall. He was raised and loved Baker County until he moved and made his home at Washington Commons Senior Living in Evans Georgia. He is preceded in death by his children Janet and Jason McCall, parents, grandparents Charlie and Lucile Cross, stepdad Roy Palmer, brother Roger Palmer. He is survived by his pride and possessions his children and grands. Jody Joiner (Mitchel), Johnny McCall (Nasha), grandchildren Johnathan McCall (Whitney), Sadie, Reagan, and Leanna Joiner, great grands Memphis and McKenzie McCall, and Peyton Lester. Sisters Jackie Rouse (Tommy), Jennie Tompkins, Joyce Spurlock, Brenda Will’s (Larry), Laura Roberts, brother Doyle McCall (Susan), aunts Pat Weekly, Maire Hughes and Patricia Cross, stepmom Mary McCall. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Mt Carmel Baptist Church, 1253 Coon Pond Rd. Newton, Georgia at 11:00 AM. He always had crazy ideas and jokes to tell. He will be missed by all his family and his family and friends at Washington Commons. I can tell you when you where born; on your birthday, ain’t that right?
