Carl W. Miller

Carl Wayne Miller, 86, of Augusta entered into rest on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 26, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Poteet Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Pittman and Pastor Harold Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, he entered into the United States Army where he retired in 1980 after 27 years of service. He was a member of New Horizons Church of God. He was considered a great man of God and he loved the Lord. He now resides in heaven alongside his loving daughter Joy. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marlene C. Miller; his daughter, Naomi R. Miller and Grandson, Timothy W. Miller; and his son Dwayne L. (Samantha) Miller. Nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.
