Bryan Glenn Burkman

Mr. Bryan Glenn Burkman Martinez, Ga., entered into rest December 7, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family after a long hard battle with a very rare aggressive cancer, soft tissue spindle cell sarcoma. Mr. Bryan Glenn Burkman, 54, husband of 14 years to Buffy Payton Burkman. He was a long-time devoted member of Belair Baptist Church, Bryan was a long time employee for 27 years at International Paper Mill. Bryan loved helping others, working on and restoring cars, nascar. He was a very wonderful husband and father. A memorial service will be held at Belair Baptist Church Saturday December 10, 2016 at 12:00 noon with Rev. David Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Additional survivors include his sons, Jonathan Burkman and Jeremy Prothro; step son, Malcolm Bowles; daughter, Jessica Burkman; and step daughter, Victoria Bowles; father, William Burkman; brothers, Kenneth (Cathie) and Douglas (Nancy) Burkman. Bryan was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Burkman. And several nieces and nephews. He was a very wonderful, husband and father who will be greatly missed.
