Boykin Allen Morris

Mr. Boykin Allen Morris Evans, Ga., Boykin Allen Morris, 68, beloved husband of Angela Joiner Morris, entered into rest Monday, September 29, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by h is parents, Boykin and Martha L. Morris, and one brother, Robert Morris. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Bradford officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Mr. Morris was a long-time resident of Georgia but traveled the world through service in the air navy. During this time, he served his country in Vietnam Conflict. He was a valued employee of the Augusta Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a position he held for 15 years until his retirement. More recently, he was employed by Augusta Utilities at Fort Gordon. Mr. Morris’ hobbies were numerous, and he enjoyed sharing with family and friends stories of his hunting and fishing adventures. He was also an avid golfer, musician, and amateur pilot. He gave freely of his time to those he loved and his church, Lewis Memorial United Methodist, where he was an active member. In addition to his wife, Mr. Morris is survived by one son, Jamie L. Morris (Nancy); two brothers, J.D. Morris and Randall Morris; one step-daughter, Donalyn D. Seibel (Walt); three step-sons, Jayson C. Duncan (Terri), Abram O. Duncan, and Marsh M. Duncan (Amanda); and two aunts, Daisy Phelps and Betty Bruce. Papa Allen was also loved by his nine grandchildren. His family would like to express their gratitude to Augusta Oncology and Trinity Hospice. Their care and attention were invaluable throughout this difficult time.
