Bonnie Zell Cumbest

Bonnie Zell Cumbest, of Augusta, Ga., passed away Friday, October 19, 2012, age 75.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Maizell Slaton Whitener.She retired after 30 years of service from Gracewood as a Nurses’ Aid. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carbury D’Camp;2 sons, Carl Allen “Hoss” Cumbest of Augusta, GA., and Glenn Harvey “Bo” Cumbest of Somerdale, New Jersey;1 granddaughter, Bonnie Amber Cumbest and 1 grandson, Noah Miguel Garcia;1 sister, Lucy Chadwick of Columbia, S.C. Also survived by nieces and nephews; 2 beloved pets, Feisty and Shaggy. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Delphia Faye Cumbest and Linda Joyce Cumbest Garcia; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be Monday 6 pm to 8 pm at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Dr., Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886.Services will be Tuesday, 1 pm at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with burial to follow. Rev. Wade Palmer and Rev. Bruce Palmer, officiating.Nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
