Augusta, GA-Mrs. Bobbie Norris Holton, 79, loving and devoted wife of the late James E. Holton entered into rest on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 surrounded by her children on what would have been her 60th wedding anniversary. She was born in Washington County, Ga. to the late John Hyman and Doris Norris. She is survived by a son, James Eugene Holton; daughters, Yvonne (Robert) Hand, Doris (Mitchell Newt) Eubanks, Donna (Roscoe) Cook; brothers Edward (Carolyn) Norris of Aiken, S.C., Jimmy (Rene') Norris of Social Circle, Ga.; a sister Mary Sue Norris of Augusta, Ga.; grandchildren, Rocky Cook, Ryan Cook, Stacy Cook,Brandon Cook, Chris Hand, Kevin Hand and Mitchell Eubanks, Jr.; great grandchildren, Cameryn Cook, Caleb McNatt, Colden Driggers, Timmy Cook; dear friend Ruth Pirtle. She was an Eastern Star member for 50 years and a dedicated member of Miracle Baptist Church. She will be missed by her many relatives, friends and all whose life she touched.A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday 10 a.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home Chapel 3465 Peach Orchard Road with Rev. Marion Jay and Rev. John Raborn officiating. The Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8.The family wishes to thank her physicians and health care providers for all their support during her illness.
