Retired SFC-Billy Gene Saunders, 81, entered into rest April 20, 2022, in Augusta, Georgia. Husband of the late Mary Patton Saunders. Billy born February 20, 1941, to the late Willie and Sarah Floyd. Billy a native of Hawesville, KY, he was a retired SFC In the US Army, he was a Baptist. Survivors include his son, Michael Saunders; daughters, Sara Plecha (Louis); Cynthia Kuehl (Keith); grandchildren, Austin, Lauren, Matthew & Adriennah. Graveside services were held with Honors on Saturday, April 25, 2022, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Chaplain Timothy Davis officiating.
