Billie L. Shaw

Mr. Billie L. Shaw of Grovetown died February 15, 2009 at Heartland Hospice. He was 73 years old. Mr. Shaw was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church. Mr. Shaw was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was proud to have served for twenty years. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, 30906, 706.798.8886. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Stephen Russ officiating. The committal will follow after the funeral at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Shaw is survived by his beloved wife, Leila H. Shaw; sons, Donald Shaw and his wife Dana, Ernie Shaw; daughter, Debbie Smith and her husband Lester; step-son, Danny Cobb; step-daughter, Adrine DeLoach and her husband Pruitt; grandchildren Kailie Shaw, Chris Yopp, and David Yopp. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1365 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909 or the Bethesda Baptist Church, 5793 Old Augusta Hwy, Harlem GA 30814.
