Betty James Stafford

Augusta, GA. Betty James Stafford, age 88, of Lake Crossing Nursing Home, entered into rest Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Stafford; her second husband, Frank Lariscy and a brother, John Bartlett and a sister, Martha Bryan Mrs. Stafford was an O.R. nurse in the 1940s and later an accomplished dance instructor and owner/operator for two Arthur Murray Dance Studios. She is survived by her son, John (Theresa) Stafford of Grovetown; 3 grandchildren, Zachery, Connor and Shawn.Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 12 pm to 2 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, 30906, 706.798.8886, with services to follow at 2 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dwayne Carter, officiating. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
