Betty W English

Mrs. Betty W. English, 72, of Augusta, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Medical Center of Central GA, Macon, GA. A lifelong resident of Augusta, she was the daughter of the late John Burton Holloway and Blanch Ollie Ross Holloway. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bobby English. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (James) Boynton, Hephzibah, GA, Sharon (John) Bracy, Mt. Cory, OH, grandchildren, Rebecca (Marc) Clay, Bobby Williams, Marjorie (Jesse) Swygert, Vanessa (Kenneth)Moon, and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 3pm at in the The Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta, GA with Pastor Ron Nolen officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
