Betty Plemmons Christian

Betty Plemmons Christian, 85, of Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, October 9, 2017. Betty was the daughter of Burnett P. Plemmons and Carrie Caldwell Plemmons of Tyron, NC. She was born in Green River, NC. She graduated from Tryon High School and attended Augusta College. Betty was married to the late Clifford Lee Christian, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia. She retired in 1997 from the State of SC, Budget and Control Board and was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia. She is predeceased by four brothers, JD, Bill, Rex and Joe Plemmons and her sister Faye P. Hauer. She is survived by two brothers, Burnett (Buck) Plemmons, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia and Fred T Plemmons of Mint Hill, NC, three children, Rodney C. Christian and Roger Bruce Christian (Lou) both of Columbia and Betsy C. Harville (Steve) of Atlanta, Ga., six grandchildren and two great-grand children. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, October 14,2017 at Westover Memorial Park . 2601 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, Georgia.
