December 15, 1933 — March 7, 2011

Betty Louise Baker, 77 entered into rest Monday March 7, 2011, joining her beloved husband, Paul of 45 years, and two children Beverly and Danny.Originally from Erwin, NC, Louise and family settled in Augusta when Paul was stationed at Fort Gordon in 1966.A homemaker, Louise raised her family in a loving home. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. Louise was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and loved her church and pastors dearly.With the help of God, doctors, family, and her dog (Amy), she beat breast cancer in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Snyder of Augusta; grandson, Mike Owens of New Orleans; two sisters, Elisabeth Parker and Patricia Capps; and brother, William Moore of Erwin, NC. The family will receive family and friends today, Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Poteet Funeral Home South from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Jim Johnson and Rev. Marion Jay will officiate.
