Betty Joyce Bailey, entered into rest on Saturday October 20, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Thursday October 25, 2018 at Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta with Pastor Robert Driggers officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Grandsons serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Bryan, Aaron Bailey, Mikey Bailey, Lee Williams, Allen Bailey and Big Aaron Bailey.Betty enjoyed life, watching the Braves and taking care of her family. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and Gigi. She had a heart of gold and loved every minute she spent with her family. She always put a smile on your face because she always had one on hers. The last eight years she lived with her oldest son and daughter-in-law, where she picked up one more child to love, her dog Charlie. Preceded in death by her husband Charlie Wayne Bailey; father Wayne T. Murrah; mother Mexie Murrah; brothers Johnnie Murrah, Wayne J. Murrah, Joe Murrah and Theodore “Dodie” Murrah. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Rick (Diana) Bryan, Robert (Kay) Bailey, John (Beth) Bailey and Mike Bailey; daughters and sons-in-law Pennie (Larry)Craig and Rhonda (Robert) Drawdy; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday evening October 24,2018 at Poteet Funeral Home.
