Bessie Lee Mathis

Bessie Lee Mathis, 97, entered into rest October 4, 2018 at Southern Manor PCH in Washington, Georgia. Wife of the late Thomas Hilliard Mathis. She was born in Aiken County, SC and spent most of her life in the Washington, Georgia area where she worked with her husband in their business. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Foot and two grandchildren Michael and Andrew. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, son Holley Mattis and grandson, Thomas. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Sharon Baptist Church Appling, Georgia with Reverend Andy Collins officiating.
