Bertha A. Toole

Augusta, GA Bertha A. Toole, age 89, of Augusta, GA.., passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at her residence with her family surrounding her. Bertha was a Charter Member of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, where she was very active in various committees over the years.She retired from Gracewood School and Hospital as a shift supervisor.She was in the Gracewood Home Demonstration Club, 4-H Club and the P. T. A. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Aphra Baldowski Keilholtz; her husband, James Allen; 2 sisters, Mary Keilholtz and Missouri Bell Keilholtz and 2 brothers, Murray Keilholtz and John Keilholtz. She is survived by her children; Mary (George Arthur) Brinson of Millen, GA., Lloyd D. (Naomi) Toole of Mansfield, GA., Bertha A. (Jeff) Morgan of Hephzibah, GA., and Alpha E. (Jesse) Key of Augusta, GA., 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Goldie Cibak of Augusta, GA., Bobbie Robinson of Thomson, GA., and Freida Miles of Augusta, GA. Family will receive friends Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 pm to 8 pm at THE POTEET FUNERAL HOME, 3465 Peach Orchard Rd., HWY 25, Augusta, GA., 30906, 706.798.8886. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 11 am at Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 2860 Wells Dr., Augusta, with Pastor Mike Freed, officiating.Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Buckley Brinson, Arthur Brinson, Daniel Brinson, Jesse Key II, Willis Sanders and Jeff Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wade Key and Max Morgan. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Bertha’s honor to the Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
