Ms. Bertha Elizabeth Landis Evans, GA. Ms. Bertha Elizabeth Landis, 88, entered into rest on Sunday, June 19th, 2016. Ms. Landis was a native of Chilhowie, VA, but spent the majority of her life in Chilhowie, VA, before moving to Evans for the last years of her life. She was a dedicated homemaker and member of Tates Chapel Methodist Church in Chilhowie. She is survived by her sons, Bill Roberts (Teresa), Greg Landis (Terri) and Tim Landis (Sandy); step-sons, Stan Landis (Betty) and Ray Landis; daughters, Sandee Hooker (Mike) and Barbara Russell (Jerry); grandchildren, Mikkie, Melaina, Amy, Elizabeth, Matthew, Emily, Ben, Beth, Jessica, Zac, Josh, Sydney, and Ali; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Marshall, MacKenna, Nalani, Gracie, Hailey, Brantley, Ryan, Matthew, Tristan, and Ashton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Cicero Sampson Eller and Mrs. Sarah Leona Eller, her daughter Bonnie Landis Counts, and grandson William Douglas Roberts, III. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd at Mountain View Cemetery Chilhowie, Va., at 2:00 p.m.
