Beauford Edward James

Beaufort Edward James, age 102, entered into rest on January 23, 2023. He was the husband of the late Genevieve James. Born October 4, 1920 to the late Willie and Jenny James, he lived his life in Augusta, GA. and retired from Georgia Power. He was preceded in death by his brothers Abner James and Curtis James, both of Augusta. Survivors include a brother Aubrey James (Mary) of Duluth, Ga., a daughter Miriam Asbach (Jerry) of Augusta, two grandchildren Michael Pirtle Jr (Christie) and Michelle Rivera, and seven great-grandchildren Kaylee Pirtle, Miguel Cruz, Michael Pirtle III, Ryan Pirtle, Mya Cruz, Adriana Rivas and Alexandra Rivera. We will have a celebration of life, to be announced at a later date for family and friends.
