Mrs. Barbara Ann Thompson Riley Lincolnton, Ga. Ms. Barbara Ann Thompson Riley, 68, of Lincolnton, Georgia, entered into rest on October 23, 2010, in North Augusta, SC. Graveside services will be held on October 26, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, Ga. Family will receive friends immediately after the service in the parlor at Westover. Barbara attended Morningside Baptist Church in Lincolnton, and her Pastor, Rev. Dan Fernandez and her nephew Pastor Earl Thompson will officiate. Barbara was born in Dearing, Ga. August 28, 1942. She was the daughter of the late George S. Thompson and Lessie Mae Thompson and was raised by her sister and brother-in-law, Allen and Estelle Eldridge, "Mummie". She attended Richmond Academy and was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. She is predeceased in death by one brother, Chesley Thompson and she is survived by her daughter, Barbara Estelle Adams Egan, her sons, Carl Frederick Adams, Jr. and James Edward Riley, Jr. (Debbie), all of Augusta, Georgia, her grandchildren, Kristen Nicole Adams, Joshua Carl Adams and Sarah Estelle Adams and 7 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary T. Staulcup, Augusta, Ga. and her dear friend, Betty Kea and family who she resided with for 23 years in Lincolnton. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in her earlier childhood years and she cherished and enjoyed her children, "the loves of her life" and her family and friends. She was a wonderful blessing to all who knew her. Her family and friends will cherish their many wonderful memories of Barbara. Her smile, her laughter and the love which she shared so generously.
