Barbara "Rae" Muza

Barbara ‘Rae’ Newman Muza,84, entered into rest February 25,2022 at Westwood Nursing Home in Evans, Ga. She was the wife of the late Frank Muza Jr. and daughter of Hugh and Dorothy Newman. Rae, born in Augusta, Ga. also lived in Alaska where she met her husband then moved to Ohio where she gave birth to her three children before settling down back in her birth town tobe closer to family. You didn't visit Rae without an invitation for coffee, something to eat and a long, entertaining conversation. She was a member of Mize Memorial United Methodist church & enjoyed Gospel music. Rae retired after 20 years from University Hospital where she worked as a Key Punch Operator & Manager. Survivors include her son; Frank Muza III, daughter; Angie Morris (Jim) & son; Stephen Muza (Anna). Brother; Michael Newman (Jackie), sisters; Jean Szakacs; Linda Sabo (Richard), Frankie Rushton (Jamie) & Debbie Carver (Wayne). Grandchildren include; Whitney Boivin, Dakota & Justin Swartz, Kyle Muza, Gabbie Spicer, Joshua & Zackary Shaw, Hannah Muza, Drew & Kyle Greiner. She was precededin death by brother Jimmy Newman & brother-in-law Charles Szakacs. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 28,2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at McNeill Funeral Home
