Barbara H. Hadden

Mrs. Barbara H. Hadden, wife of more than 49 years to Mr. Jerry B. Hadden, of Hephzibah, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011.She was 70 years old. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel.Entombment will follow in the chapel mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.The American Legion Riders will serve as honorary escorts for the procession from the funeral home to the cemetery on Sunday.Pallbearers are Eddie Ernst, David Collins, Jimmy Buck, David Tinsley, Don Hadden, and Richard Domuroski. Along with her husband, Jerry, Barbara is survived by her children, Susan Canaday, and her husband, Wayne, JerryAnn Tinsley, and her husband Garry, and Debbie Hadden, all of Hephzibah; hersister, Dorothy McCarty, and her husband, Bill, of Branchville, South Carolina; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. and Lois Hudson. Barbara was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.Along with her husband, Jerry, she was a member of American legion Post No. 63 where she took part in the American Legion Rider’s Fundraisers.For more than 39 years, she worked for Kendall Inc.
