Barbara Bosarge, age 75 of Blythe, GA passed away on July 8, 2024, at WellStar-MCG Hospital in Augusta, GA. She was born in Centreville, MS on October 12, 1948, to the late Sam Whittington and Christine Bateman. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Christine Lemoine, and her brother Calvin Whittington. She lived in LA and MS for the first 46 years of her life before spending the last 30 years living in Blythe, GA. She enjoyed crafting, coffee, & amp; Dubonnet. She loved working with her plants or taking care of her pond under the Japanese Maple Tree. If she wasn’t outside, you’d find her sitting in her chair keeping up with her extended family and friends on Facebook. Barbara is survived by her partner of 30-plus years, Michael Freeman; her children, John (DuJuan) Bosarge, Chris (Dianne) Bosarge, Corey (Amber) Bosarge, Scotty Freeman, and Patrick Freeman; her grandchildren, Chase (Brooke) Bosarge, Christina Bosarge, Cole (McKenzie) Bosarge, Shelby Freeman, Codie Bosarge, Colton Bosarge, Kelsey Gonsalves, Rachel Gonsalves, Grace Clingan, Grayson Freeman, and Anthony Bosarge; her great-grandchildren, John Cooper, Parker, and Callahan Bosarge; siblings, Dwight Whittington (Teresa), Sharon Lesieur (Clyde), Vincent Whittington (Noel); sister-in-law, Erna Whittington; her Little Texas Family, Jimmy, Suzanne, Hailey, and Zoey Richardson, and many more friends and extended family who loved her. Barbara will be missed by all, not only for her world-famous banana pudding, smothered potatoes, and wreaths, but for her warm welcome and love for anyone that walked through her door. A Celebration of Life will be held at one of Barbara’s favorite traditions - the annual Easter Picnic on April 19, 2025 at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA.
